Pjer Zalica's Silver Leopard-winning Fuse (Gori Vatra) has been selected by the Association of the Film Workers of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a secret vote to compete for a nomination to the Academy Award's Best Foreign Language Film category.

Screenings of three Bosnian features - Fuse, Dino Mustafic's Remake and Srdan Vuletic's The Summer In The Golden Valley - were organised at the beginning of the week by the Association in cooperation with the Sarajevo Film Festival and the Obala Meeting Point before the vote.

Two years ago, Danis Tanovic's No Man's Land went on to win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in March 2002.
