Charlotte Gainsbourg, Anton Yelchin, Kate Connor, Moon Bloodgood and
rapper Common have joined the cast of Halcyon Company's sci-fi epic
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which started production in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 5.

Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the leader of the human
resistance and sworn enemy of the tyrannical Skynet organisation and
its army of Terminator robots. Previously announced cast members
include Sam Worthington and Josh Brolin.

Halcyon chiefs Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are producing with
Moritz Borman and Jeffrey Silver, while Peter D Graves, Bahman
Naraghi, Mario F Kassar, Andy Vajna, Joel B Michaels, Dan Lin and
Jeanne Allgood serve as executive producers.

McG is directing from a script by Michael Ferris and John Brancato.
Warner Bros will release the film in North America on May 22 2009 and
Sony Pictures Releasing International holds most international rights
excluding South Korea and select territories in the Middle East.

The fourth theatrical entry in the Terminator canon takes place in
2018 as Connor prepares to strike at the heart of Syknet assisted by a
mysterious young man. James Cameron directed the 1984 original, which cemented Arnold Schwarzenegger's status as a rising action star.

Anderson and Kubicek acquired all rights to the Terminator brand in
May 2007. Speaking in Cannes last week, the pair declined to comment
on whether Schwarzenegger, now the Governor of California, would
feature in the latest instalment.
