Gladiator's rule in the UK box office arena continued for the third weekend running as the film's cumulative reached over $20m.

Taking a three-day gross of $4.4m over the UK's bank holiday weekend, box office revenues dropped just 14% from last weekend and the site average remained strong at $10,580. Entertainment's release of Final Destination also maintained steady weekend figures, dropping only 16% to a three-day gross of $1.8m (£1.2m) and taking second place in the chart.

However, UK title Honest, directed by Dave Stewart and starring the girl band All Saints, fell apart at the seams when it opened last weekend, taking $165,147 (£111,309) from 220 screens. Despite Honest's bank holiday opening running on the back of the huge publicity surrounding its special screening at the Cannes film festival, the film only mustered a screen average of $751 and will be unlikely to make much more than 10% of SpiceWorld: The Movie's total tally of $18.5m.

Other mid-range openers, comedy Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalow in fourth place and the Kevin Bacon thriller Stir Of Echoes in seventh place performed averagely with $699,134 from 263 and $328,635 from 119 screens respectively.
