Goldcrest Films International has acquired all rights to DaniMenkin's documentary 39 Pounds Of Love excluding the US and Israel and will introduce to buyers atMIPTV.

39 Pounds tells the story of Ami Ankilewitz, an American-bornIsraeli who at the age of one was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophythat renders him immobile

His doctor predicated he'd die before the age of six but more than30 years have passed and Ami, weighing only 39 pounds, still survives and worksas a 3D animator.

The documentary charts Ami's journey across the US to find thedoctor who thought he wouldn't survive.

39 Pounds Of Love has won numerous awards including best documentary at the PalmBeach Film Festival and the Tahoe Reno Film Festival, and audience awards atthe Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, the Israeli Film Fest in NY, and theInternational Disabilities Film Festival.

Goldcrest'sStephen Johnston, Nick Quested and Patty Tapanes negotiated the deal with executive producers Ed Priddy and David Gil.
