Halcyon Pictures, founded in 2001 by Funny Games producer, Chris Coen, is to be re-launched from today, October 28, as Unanimous Pictures.

Halycon Pictures' theatrical releases to date include Tom McCarthy's Oscar-contender, The Visitor , starring Richard Jenkins and Hiam Abbass, Michael Haneke's all-star US remake of his own provocative thriller, Funny Games starring Naomi Watts and Tim Roth, and Goran Dukic's Wristcutters; A Love Story .

Unanimous Pictures' forthcoming slate includes Lion's Den, which receives its UK premiere at the London Film Festival today and will be released in the UK in early March 2009.

Other upcoming films include Mexican director Jonas Cuaron's coming-of-age tale Ano Una, David Auburn's thriller Girl In The Park starring Sigourney Weaver and Kate Bosworth and Eran Riklis' Berlin Audience Prize winner, Lemon Tree .

2009 releases will include Christophe Van Rompaey's romantic, Flemish comedy Moscow Belgium and actor/director Julie Delpy's period thriller The Countess,

Commenting on the re-launch Chris Coen said, '2009 will be an exciting year for us and the right time to re-brand the company and make a fresh start with Unanimous Pictures. We plan to be in production on our first feature since Funny Games early next year with Single Shot, a thriller directed by David Jacobson and we have an eclectic slate of films for distribution in the UK.'
