The multi-stranded crime thriller, with a cast including Hugh Bonneville, David Oyelowo, Sarah Smart, Penelope Wilton and Edward Woodward, follows the aftermath of a young mother's abduction. The five-part series aired to strong ratings on BBC One in January.

Metrodome plans an early summer release on DVD.

The deal was brokered by Louise Matthews, commercial executive DVD at the BBC's Commercial Agency and Tom Stewart, general manager for home entertainment at Metrodome.

'We are thrilled to secure such an original, perfectly crafted series that is destined to become a hot property in the UK 's home entertainment market,' Stewart says.

Metrodome chief executive Peter Urie added: 'This deal demonstrates how Metrodome as a company is continuing to realise its potential within the Home Entertainment sector and our commitment to release solid commercial and exciting titles.'
