HBO Films London has sold all rights on The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers to Ocean Films in France and Lucky Red in Italy, adding to a raft of sales announced at Mifed earlier this week.

Scanbox has picked up all rights in Scandinavia, Cineart and A-Film in the Benelux countries, Frenetic in Switzerland and Prime in the Middle East.

The $26m drama stars Geoffrey Rush, Charlize Theron and Emily Watson and is currently in post production and expected to be ready in February 2004. Stephen Hopkins directed the film based on Roger Lewis' book.

HBO Films London has also announced that shooting is underway on Fred Schepisi's all-star New England-set drama Empire Falls, based on Richard Russo's drily humorous Pulitzer Prize-winning portrait of life in a small Maine town.

Ed Harris, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Helen Hunt, Paul Newman, Robin Wright Penn, Aidan Quinn and Joanne Woodward star.
