The UK's High Point & The Film Company Group has appointed Chris Bluett to the position of film sales executicve. Bluett, who was previously a senior researcher for Celador Productions' Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, has been working with the the group's sales team for the past year.

The group has also promoted Ruth Saxton to the position of acquisitions and marketing manager. Saxton formerly assisted company chiefs Carey Fitzgerald and Ronald de Neef on product devleopment.

In addition, Sarah Chammartin has been appointed sales and servicing executive. Chammartin previously worked in Paris for Bossa Nova, marketing films for such companies as Bac Films, Haut et Court and Buena Vista International.

At Cannes, The Film Co unveiled a slate of big-budget films based on fictional flying hero Biggles. The films will be produced by Scott Millaney, former boss of MGMM, and writer-director Peter Mackenzie's Hippo Films.
