EXCLUSIVE: SC Films acquires 3D family animation Flying South and thriller Bullet ahead of AFM.

Simon Crowe’s [pictured] SC Films is continuing its successful collaboration with The Animation Picture Company after picking up international rights to the latter’s 3D family animation Flying South.

The two have previously collaborated on The Reef and The Reef 2: High Tide 3D, Garfield Pet Force, Outback and Jungle Shuffle 3D.

Flying South follows a family of Blue Jays from Manhattan who head south for the winter to a magical resort hidden deep in Florida’s Everglades. The family must adjust to life in the deep south, celebrate age old traditions and overcome poachers before they migrate back to Manhattan.

Mark Dippe directs, producers are Brian Manis and Dan Chuba.

Ahead of the market, SC has also picked also up worldwide rights to LA based production outfit Fastest Indian’s upcoming western action thriller Bullet, in which a detective battles to bring down a criminal gang and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy his family.

Nick Lyon (Punk Love, Species 4, Zombie Apocalypse) directs, producers are Matthew Joynes, Jesse Kennedy and Logan Levy. The film is due to get underway in LA in January 2013 with cast to be announced soon.

SC Films’ slate also includes The Reef 2: High Tide 3D, which gets a first market screening, animation Jungle Shuffle 3D, currently in production, and A Liar’s Autobiography - The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman.
