Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired supernatural thriller Altitude for distribution in the US, the UK and Australia/New Zealand on the Anchor Bay Films label.

Directed by award-winning graphic novelist Kaare Andrews and written by Paul A Birkett (The Keeper), Altitude
follows a group of teens on a weekend plane trip that turns into a battle with a supernatural force.

Jessica Lowndes (90210), Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th), Ryan Donowho (Bandslam), Landon Liboiron (Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Jake Weary (As the World Turns) star.

“Anchor Bay has an outstanding reputation for releasing films that provide audiences with the thrills and chills they crave and Altitude is a work that delivers both in a very fresh new way,” said Kevin Kasha, senior vice president, acquisitions, Anchor Bay Films.

Altitude was produced through Ian Birkett at Escape Factory, Rob Merilees and Dave Valleau at Foundation Features, and Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy at Arclight Films. The deal was negotiated by Kevin Kasha, James Shapiro and Richard Turner for Anchor Bay and Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy of Arclight.
