The feel good trailer for StudioCanal’s Fast Girls has arrived.

To put you in the mood for the Olympics, check out the trailer for Fast Girls, the athletics inspired feature which, if this little taster is anything to go by, could well turn out to be the feel good British film of the summer.

Developed and produced by Damian Jones, Fast Girls centres on two girls competing in the same British sprint relay team, but from very different backgrounds, as they gear up for the fictional London world athletics championships. It is due for a June release in the UK.

Directed by Regan Hall, the film stars British newcomer Lenora Circhlow in the lead alongside Lashana Lynch, Dominique Tipper, Hannah Frankson, Lily James, Bradley James, Lorraine Burroughs, Phil Davis, Rupert Graves and Noel Clarke as the girls’ coach.

According to Jones, the film has been picking up great reviews at its test screenings and the trailer - which features lots of high fives, hot bods, British flags, a kicking sound track, and glossy shots of London - is almost inspiring enough to make me throw on my running shoes.

Or at least to get behind Team GB during the Olympics from the comfort of my sofa.
