Shout! Factory has launched the US trailer for its upcoming animation release Jack And The Cuckoo-Clock Heart.
The EuropaCorp animation is set to open in select US cities starting on September 24.
Mathias Malzieu and Stéphane Berla directed Jack And The Cuckoo-Clock Heart based on Malzieu’s French novel La Mécanique du Cœur (The Boy With The Cuckoo-Clock Heart).
The tale begins on a freezing day in late-19th century Edinburgh when a midwife saves a baby boy’s life by inserting a cuckoo clock into his chest to replace his frozen heart.
She tells him the clock will work so long as he never touches the hands of the clock, never loses his temper and never falls in love. Virginie Besson-Silla of EuropaCorp produces.
The English-language voice cast includes Orlando Seale, Les Misérables breakout Samantha Barks, Michelle Fairley, Stéphane Cornicard and Richard Ridings.
