As the countdown to the May 23 release becomes ever more frantic at the Fox marketing department, the studio has released a third and final trailer for X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Hugh Jackman returns as the pleasingly irascible Wolverine alongside cast regulars Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy as old and young Professor X, Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender as old and young Magneto and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence as Raven / Mystique.

Everyone’s favourites will be there: Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, Shawn Ashmore and newbies Peter Dinklage, Evan Peters and Omar Sy.

This storyline centres not, as the title might suggest, on a repetitive period of instruction pertaining to a little-known tense in the French language, but rather a dual timeline inter-species brawl that threatens the very existence of earth itself.

Bryan Singer directs from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg based on a story by Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman. Producers are Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker.
