Fefferman joins the fledgling multi-platform distribution venture as evp of publicity and Shapiro arrives as vp of marketing and distribution.

Both appointments are effective immediately and the executives will report to RADiUS-TWC co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego.

Fefferman returns to the Weinstein fold after her earlier tenure as evp of publicity at TWC. She most recently served as svp of publicity at Samuel Goldwyn Films and strategic partner ATO Pictures. Her career highlights include six years at Dan Klores Communications. Shapiro is a former vp of national sales for Independent Distribution Partners.

“Liza and Heath bring a wealth of experience across a broad spectrum of film distribution and are going to be invaluable additions to our one-of-a-kind film label,” Quinn and Janego said. “We can’t imagine two better executives to lead our distribution efforts.”

“I’m excited to join such a visionary team led by Tom and Jason, whom I’ve admired and respected for many years,” Fefferman said. “As a multi-platform distributor, RADiUS is poised to become a leader in the changing landscape of film distribution, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

“I look forward to using my experience in the theatrical space to heighten the profile of our slate of films in a unique and forward thinking way,” Shapiro said. “Tom and Jason created RADiUS to build on this ever growing distribution model, and I am excited to help execute their vision.”

New hires to the team include Richard Hornbeck as director of on demand and digital media and Caroline McKenzie as director of marketing and delivery

The company is preparing to release its first film, the Sundance pick-up Bachelorette starring Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan, on VoD on Aug 10 and in theatres on Sept 7. The slate includes Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives, Solomon Kane, Expatriate and Pusher.
