Spanish production HorasDe Luz has been added to the official competition of the San SebastianInternational Film Festival (Sept 17-25).

The Sogecine title from director Manolo Matji stars EmmaSuarez (former Julio Medem muse) and Alberto San Juan (Football Days) in the true story-inspired tale of redemption andlove between a convicted murderer and his prison nurse. Sogepaq is handling international sales on the title

The film joins other Spanish-language competitors at thefestival including Carlos Sorin's MinimalStories follow-up Bombon-El Perro,veteran Adolfo Aristarain's Buenos Aires-set Roma and Victor Gaviria's TheRose Seller follow-up Sumas Y Restas,set against the cocaine trafficking business in Colombia.

Newcomers Pablo Malo from Spain and Jorge Gaggero fromArgentina will compete in the New Directors section - the former with melodramaCold Winter Sun (Frio Sol De Invierno)starring Unax Ugalde and Marisa Paredes, and the latter with Beba's Live-In (Beba Y Dora) starringArgentine legend Norma Aleandro.
