Vancouver-based Horizon Entertainment has picked up allinternational rights to Vietnamese-American director Ham Tran's Thai-US co-productionJourney From The Fall.

The story follows a family'sescape from Vietnam after the end of the Vietnam War and charts the contrastinglives of those who make it to America and those who remain in the re-educationcamps. Kieu Chinh, Long Nguyen, Diem Lien and Nguyen Thai Nguyen star.

Horizon will screen the picture at Cannes and commenceinternational sales.

Lam Nguyen produced Journey From The Fall, which shot mostly inThailand. The film premiered at the Pusan Film Festival last August and hassince played at Sundance and Bangkok. Julie Kirkwood and Guillermo Rosas wonbest cinematography honours at the Milan International Film Festival.

Horizon's Rob Straight negotiated the deal with Nguyen'Wyn' Tran of The Institution on behalf of the producers.
