Kidulthood director Menhaj Huda and writer Noel Clarke are teaming up again to make London based thriller Despatched, which is currently at the script stage.

Clarke, who recently directed 4.3.2.1, is writing the screenplay for the film, which is based on a story idea by Huda about a Soho bicycle courier who finds himself on the run when he is implicated for murder.

Huda will direct the film, which has received development funding from the UKFC and is being produced by Stella Nwimo for Huda’s production company Stealth Films.

It looks set to shoot in 2011.

Huda has just wrapped coming of age drama Everywhere And Nowhere and is due to commence shooting on British horror film Comedown in October. Also in pre production for Stealth Films is Rearview, a psychological thriller which is being written and directed by first time feature film-maker Avril Russell, and is scheduled to shoot in the UK in October.
