As was expected following its Oscar-success, The Return Of The King fared strongly at the Hungarian box office last weekend, performing a mere 1% weaker than the week before taking nearly 10,000 admissions in the ninth week of its release.

The French comedy Mauvais Espirit and the latest John Grisham adaptation both haad decent openings on 19 and 12 copies respectively.

Meanwhile, Hungarian new release Andras Salamon's Getno about a Hungarian family trying to establish themselves in Las Vegas flopped seriously with last weekend's weakest screen average.

Still the biggest disappointment was provided by Tim Burton's Big Fish which performed the weakest Burton opening ever in Hungary with just over five and a half thousand admissions.
