Hyde Park Imagenation has hired creative executives Jason Mirch (pictured) and Yee Yeo Chang as the joint venture seeks to build a stable of commercially viable projects for the global market.

Mirch joined the company at the end of last year and will be based in the partnership’s Abu Dhabi office where he will spearhead the content division for Imagenation Abu Dhabi’s joint venture with Hyde Park Entertainment.

Chang will be based in Singapore and is responsible for managing operations of the recently formed Hyde Park Imagenation Singapore, as well as finding and developing projects in Asia.

Imagenation Abu Dhabi and Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment expanded on their existing partnership by setting up Hyde Park Imagenation Singapore in October 2009 and created a strategic alliance with Singapore’s Media Development Authority.

Mirch and Chang will work alongside Hyde Park International president Mimi Steinbauer, Hyde Park executive vice-president Patrick Aiello, and Imagenation Abu Dhabi COO Stefan Brunner.

“Our presence in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Los Angeles reflects Hyde Park Imagenation’s overall strategy and commitment to the global film industry,” Brunner said. “Jason and Yee Yeo will work together with Hyde Park’s Los Angeles-based team to progress the company’s mandate of developing, financing and producing cross-cultural commercial films.”

“Jason and Yee Yeo have solid credentials and reputations in the international entertainment industry,” Amritraj said. “Their experience and background will be a tremendous asset to the company.”

Hyde Park Imagenation aims to create up to 20 features that will “open a window on Middle Eastern and Asian culture, enabling audiences around the world to look in and appreciate the region’s rich and increasingly dynamic heritage.”

Mirch previously worked as the co-head of feature and television development at Storyline Entertainment where he developed a slate of over 30 projects, including Damn Yankees (New Line), Golden Gate (Summit Entertainment), and Footloose (Paramount).

Prior to Hyde Park Imagenation Singapore, Chang worked at Killer Films as an associate producer on Motherhood starring Uma Thurman. Most recently he served as the executive producer on Lullaby For Pi, Benoit Philippon’s directorial debut starring Rupert Friend, Clemence Poesy and Forest Whitaker.
