ICA Projects, the distributionarm of the UK's Institute Of Contemporary Art, has moved quickly to pick up twoof the hottest films of the moment.

Turtles Can Fly, the Iraqi-Kurdistani drama by Bahman Ghobadi, whichwon the top prize Golden Shell at San Sebastian, was acquired from Frenchseller Bac Films at Toronto where it first screened.

"Wewere immediately impressed by the film and are thrilled that it has had such agood reception in San Sebastian," said ICA acquisitions consultant MairiMacDonald.

From the Venice line-up she also picked up Shochiku's CafeLumiere, Hou Hsiao Hsien's tribute to Japanese director Yasujiro Ozu. Thefilm will go on to play in next week's Pusan festival, where Hou is to be fetedas Asian film-maker of the year.
