IFC Films maintained its concerted acquisitions drive byannouncing two new pick-ups this week, Caveh Zahedi's I Am A Sex Addict and Cedric Klapisch's Russian Dolls.

The autobiographical comedy I Am A Sex Addict chronicles the life of an insecure youngman who becomes addicted to prostitutes at the expense of his friendships. Itpremiered at Tribeca 2005 and won a 2005 Gotham Award.

Russian Dolls catches up with some of the characters from Klapisch's 2002 blackcomedy L'Auberge Espagnole, a Fox Searchlght release in the US, including an aspiringnovelist who gets a chance to revive his life. Romain Duris and Audrey Tautouare among the stars.

"These two works represent a divergent spectrum of films andfilmmaking and we are proud to bring these two richly engaging films to IFC,"IFC Entertainment president Jonathan Sehring said.

Sehring and IFC's vice president of acquisitions Sarah Lashnegotiated the deal for all media in North America for I Am A Sex Addict with John Sloss and Liesl Copland ofCinetic Media. The deal for Russian Dolls was negotiated with Studio Canal's John Kochman.

Release dates forboth titles will be decided in due course. IFC recently acquired Twelve AndHolding, Drawing Restraint9 and Brothers ofThe Head.
