IFC Entertainment has signed a two-year deal with Blockbuster granting the video rental giant limited exclusive US rental rights for IFC titles.
The agreement will make IFC titles available via Blockbuster's stores, mail subscription services and its digital downloading service Movielink.com.
Blockbuster will get an exclusive 60-day rental window covering physical and digital distribution. After 60 days IFC titles will become available on a non-exclusive basis for retail and digital distribution, however Blockbuster will retain exclusive physical rental distribution rights for IFC titles for three years after each street date.
The two partners will share rental revenues from IFC titles. Films include Gus Van Sant's Paranoid Park, Tom Kalin's Savage Grace, Joe Swanberg's Hannah Takes The Stairs and Christophe Honore's Dans Paris.
