The National Film Development Corporation’s Film Bazaar India 10, an annual film market, has partnered with Moscow Co-Production Forum.

Under this alliance, each partner organisation will select one project to participate in their co-production market. The Moscow Co Production Forum will take place from June 18-20, 2010 and the Film Bazaar in Goa is held November 23 - 26.

To be held alongside the Moscow International Film Festival (June 17 -26, 2010), the Forum has selected NFDC project The Virgin Goddess by K.N.T. Sastry which was one of the projects showcased in the co-production market in Film Bazaar India 2009.

The Film Bazaar is a four-day market held alongside the International Film Festival of India in Goa. It is a South Asian sales and distribution platform to facilitate greater collaborations between the Indian and international film industries for distribution and production. Its international partners include Cinemart and Hubert Bals Fund; the Binger Filmlab, Netherlands; Prime Exchange, Germany; Europa Cinema, France; and Locarno International Film Festival. It is also exploring partnerships with IFP, New York, Telefilm Canada, and Australia.

Nina Lath Gupta, managing director, NFDC told Screen: “It is our mandate to position Indian cinema internationally. With Sastry’s project in Moscow, we have another opportunity to look at potential partners and raise awareness and one more filmmaker gets known internationally. We are pleased that the Moscow Co-Production Forum approached us. We’re also in talks with other countries and hope something works out.”
