The third International Screenwriters Festival is set to cement its position in the industry calendar with a stellar line-up that includes some of the world's best-known writers.

Among the speakers this year are film-makers and writers who have been major names at the major awards ceremonies.

They include BAFTA and Palme d'Or winner and Oscar nominee Mike Leigh;Oscar winners Christopher Hampton, Julian Fellowes and Ronald Harwood; BAFTA winner and Oscar nominee Stephen Woolley and BAFTA nominee Deborah Moggach.

Among the other big names in the line-up is one of the world's bestselling authors Terry Pratchett.

The event also includes a high-powered range of speakers from television and, in keeping with event's pioneering approach, from online programming.

The event, which takes place in the UK town of Cheltenham between July 1-3 -has become an important part of the screenwriters' year.

But thefounders of the Screen-backed event have been successfulin making the event a chance to bring together the wider industry.

Its pitching sessions are a serious opportunity for ambitious writers, and the sessions give real insight from some of the best in the business.
