Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines has helped Internationalmedia (IM) - parent company of Intermedia - generate third quarter revenues of between Euros 151-156m - a quarterly record for the company.

The quarterly sales largely resulted from minimum guarantees for Terminator 3, which has already topped $427m at the worldwide box-office. Overages on the film will be posted in future quarters.

As expected, the company's third quarter EBITA will come out at between Euros 2.5m-3.5m, meaning that three of IM's last four quarters have shown positive operating results.

An adhoc statement said that the basis for this positive result was the company's restructuring programme which has "streamlined the group's cost structure and adapted it to the general market environment."

The final version of IM's financial data will be unveiled on November 14, 2003.

IM is backing Oliver Stone's Alexander The Great, currently shooting in Morocco. IM subsidiary Initial Entertainment Group is also producing The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese.
