Italy's Ischia Global Film and Music Festival will host a Global Production Summit in the sixth edition of the event, which runs July 13-20 on the island of Ischia near the Southern city of Naples.

The summit will take place on July 18 with Producer Mark Canton (Spiderwick Chronicles, 300) to give the opening address, Pascal Vicedomeni, the event's producer confirmed.

The summit will have a round table discussion format that focuses on initiatives aimed at increasing global and international co-productions and co-financing, Vicedomeni said.

Participants are to include Relativity Media CEO Ryan Kavanaugh, Vice Chairman of Lionsgate Films Michael Burns; producer Lawrence Bender; Serenade Films' Mike Nozik; President of Nu Image Avi Lerner; Ben Silverman from NBC Universal TV as well as Italian industry professionals such as Osvaldo De Santis (20th Century Fox); Richard Borg (Universal) Maurizio Totti (Colorado Film), Nicola Giuliano (Indigo Film); Valerio de Paolis (BIM); Paolo del Brocco (Rai Cinema) and Filmauro's Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Ischia is also supporting screenwriters with a Global Script Market - chaired by director Lina Wertmuller and attended by Letter from Iwo Jima screenwriter Iris Yamashita as well as Alfonso Curon and Italian blockbuster writer/director Federico Moccia (Scusa se ti chiamo amore).
