UIP's Shark Tale ripped into the box office at numberone in Italy, in one of its last international releases.

The animation feature, whose Italian release comes fivemonths after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, grossed $3,945,692from 401 screens for an excellent screen average of $9,840.

Warner Bros's Constantine also performed well,grossing $2,246,586 for an average of $6,934 per screen. Nevertheless, theKeanu Reeves supernatural thriller was unable to edge past Meet The Fockers,which added another $2,349,899 to its total, which stands at $15,804,916 afterthree weeks.

On the Italian front, Medusa's Sacred Heart leaptinto the box office at number four. Turkish-Italian director Ferzan Opzetekreceived his widest ever local release, earning a strong $1,149,061 from 319screens.

As for other homegrown titles, Pupi Avati's comedy MaQuando Arrivano Le Ragazze has earned a high $2,643,731 in four weeks for01 Distribution, and Mafia drama Alla Luce Del Sole has grossed a solid$1,609,186 for Mikado.
