Director James Marsh and UK production company Wall to Wall are working on a documentary that focuses on the world of dreams.
Dream Diaries (working title) is based on a Canadian man's dreams that were written down over the course of his lifetime.
In conversation with ScreenDaily.com Marsh said 'The project has its origin in a collection of dream diaries that are held in a university in Santa Cruz. I was recommended the diaries of an old man who had recorded every dream he ever had about his wife and the project is a record of a love affair.'
The documentary will be funded by Film 4 along with the UK Film Council.
Speaking to ScreenDaily.com, Jonathan Hewes of Wall to Wall said 'This is a passion project of James' which came out of his obsessive interest in dreams. James is scripting a narrative for the documentary.'
