UK-based Jinga Films has acquired worldwide rights to thriller Jetsam.

Simon Welsford wrote and directed the conspiracy thriller starring Alex Reid, Shauna Macdonald, Jamie Draven and Cal Macanich.

Rosana Coutinho, Jinga's head of sales, compared the project to Chris Nolan's Following and Memento.

The film had its world premiere at the Times BFI London Film Festival and will have its market debut screening here at AFM.

Other Jinga titles include Julian Richards' Summer Scars and Craig McCall's documentary Persistence of Vision about cinematographer Jack Cardiff.
