Josh Lucas with lead the cast in God's Spy, alongside Jordi Molla, Giancarlo Giannini, and Peter O'Toole.

Brian Phelan wrote the script, based on true events that led to an Italian banker's death in London in 1982. The story starts with a priest working undercover on Wall Street in the 1970s and veers into political intrigue with the Chilean President, shady dealings with the Vatican Bank, the CIA, the Mafia and the Masons.

The film will shoot in Montreal for eight weeks in 2008, with post-production to follow in London. A Berlin 2009 launch is planned.

God's Spy is financed independently and producers are in talk with CAA to handle US rights.

Morahan is also directing Goal! 3.
