International Film Circuit in association with The Ciesla Foundation will release Aviva Kempner’s documentary Yoo-Hoo, Mrs Goldberg on July 10 at New York City’s Lincoln Plaza Cinema.

The theatrical release will follow the film’s world premiere opening night at the Rochester High Falls Film Festival on May 13.

Kempner’s follow-up to The Life And Times Of Hank Greenberg recounts the story of television pioneer Gertrude Berg.

Berg created and starred in the radio show The Goldbergs, a popular radio show for 17 years that became the US’ first sitcom in 1949. She received the Television Academy’s first best actress Emmy for her troubles.

International Film Circuit’s recent releases have included The Hammer starring Adam Carolla, Shotgun Stories starring Michael Shannon, and documentaries The Devil Came On Horseback and The Business Of Being Born.

The Ciesla Foundation produced the award winning Partisans Of Vilna, Today I Vote For My Joey, and The Life And Times Of Hank Greenberg.
