Munich and London-based K5 International has boarded worldwide sales on Hideo Nakata’s supernatural thriller Voice From The Stone.

Zanuck Independent’s Dean Zanuck and Stefano Gallini-Durante will produce alongside K5’s Oliver Simon and Daniel Baur on the project, which is set to start filming in late spring/early summer 2010.

Mark Wheaton, whose credits include The Messengers and Friday The 13th, wrote the script about a female child psychologist who gets manipulated by the dead mother of a young boy.

Nakata shot to global fame with Ringu and also directed Dark Water. He recently completed work on Chatroom.

“Hideo Nakata is one of the best directors for supernatural storytelling, and I am thrilled to be working with such a visionary film-maker,” Zanuck said. “It is great to be teaming up with K5 again, having partnered together most recently on Get Low.”

“This is the kind of film that everyone responds to and Hideo Nakata is the master,” Baur and Simon said.
