David P Kaplan has been named senior vice-president and intellectual
property counsel on worldwide anti-piracy operations at Warner Bros
Entertainment.

Kaplan will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the
studio's anti-piracy strategy and reports to president of Warner Bros
Technical Operations Darcy Antonellis.

He joined the studio in 1996 and previously served as vice president
and intellectual property counsel and was an original member of the
studio's anti-piracy department that launched in 2004.

Prior to Warner Bros, Kaplan worked at Katten, Muchin & Zavis and
Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher, specialising in intellectual property and
entertainment related litigation.
