Los Angeles-based Katapult Film Sales has boarded Paul Morrison's Spanish-English co-production Little Ashes and will commence sales here.

The co-production between Factotum Barcelona, Aria Films, APT Films & Met Film just wrapped in Barcelona and stars Javier Beltran, Robert Pattinson and Matthew McNulty.

The story takes place in Madrid in 1922 and centres on the friendship between the artist Salvador Dali, film-maker Luis Bunuel and writer Federico Garcia Lorca.

The trio's relationships and intimate secrets intensify and culminate in one dramatic night on holiday in the seaside resort of Cadaques.

Morrison wrote the screenplay and the film is produced by Carlo Dusi, Jonny Persey and Jaume Vilalta.

Katapult's AFM slate includes Jon Reiss' Bomb It!, Grant Gee's documentary Joy Division, Diego Luna's JC Chavez, and Larry Fessenden's The Last Winter.
