Producers Jennifer Klein and Kevin Messick are to join Mutual Film Co as senior production executives. Reporting to Mutual chief executives Gary Levinsohn and Don Granger, the two will be responsible for identifying and securing projects for the company to produce and finance as well as overseeing their development and production.

Klein joins Mutual from Bay Films where she was vice president since 1996. She was associate producer on Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor, a production associate on Armageddon, developed black comedy The Gory Details for Disney and oversaw Bay Films' first TV effort Quantico for Fox Broadcasting. Previously she worked at Columbia Pictures and in current programming at Fox Broadcasting Company.

Messick is an accomplished independent producer with credits including American Pimp, Truth Or Consequences NM, The Babysitter and Surviving The Game. He is currently producing a range of projects including Closers directed by Penelope Spheeris, Confessions Of A Millionaire directed by Allen Coulter, The Confessions Of William Henry Ireland for Miramax Films, My Best Friend's Girlfriend for Fox Searchlight and Avengelyne for New Line Cinema. He also has an overall agreement with Fox Television Pictures; he will move to Mutual after this deal expires at the end of the year.

Messick was also president of the Hughes Brothers' Underworld Entertainment at Universal and president of Joel Schumacher Productions at Warner Bros.
