Kathy Morgan International (KMI) is handling international sales on the $70m live-action-CGI black comedy Instant Karma, which stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Pierce Brosnan.

New Line is in talks to take domestic rights on the film by first-time writer-director Paul Hernandez , which is due to go into production in April 2004 in New Orleans.

Instant Karma stars The Rock as a safecracker who is reincarnated as a flea following a near-death experience and tries to improve his karma by performing a series of good deeds.

Shrek and Pirates Of The Caribbean writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott will produce through their Scheherazade Productions banner along with Scott Ross, chief executive officer of Digital Domain, which won an Oscar for its work on Titanic and will create Instant Karma's CGI sequences.

Mira Sorvino, David Alan Grier and Eartha Kitt also star in the live-action elements, while Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Gene Wilder and the comedy troupe Broken Lizard lend their vocal talents to the various animals.

KMI is also selling A Love Song For Bobby Long, a drama starring John Travolta, Scarlett Johansson and Gabriel Macht, which was written and directed by Shainee Gabel.
