A reshuffle at South Korean conglomerate Cheil Jedang will see Park Dong-ho become the new CEO of local major CJ Entertainment.

Park, who has served as head of Korea's biggest cinema circuit CJ CGV since August 2000, will retain his old position while also assuming responsibility for CJ Entertainment's investment, distribution, production, video and international sales operations.

Meanwhile, former CJ Marketing Chief Noh Jae-myung will become the new head of CJ Media, which operates cable and satellite channels m.net, the Food Channel and Home CGV.

Lee Kang-bok, who formerly served as CEO of both CJ Entertainment and CJ Media, will move to CJ Global, where he will serve as head of the company's Business Unit.

CJ Entertainment is, together with Cinema Service, one of the two most powerful companies in the Korean film industry.

This year it has financed and distributed box-office hits Memories Of Murder, My Tutor Friend, and Untold Scandal, which drew a combined total of $68m at the local box-office.
