David Lamping has joined NuImage/Millennium Films as head of distribution and will be based in thecompany's new international distribution office in London.

Lamping previously served aspresident of Signature Pictures where he handled the upcoming Brian De Palmaproject The Black Dahlia, whichSignature produced and co-financed with Nu Image/Millennium Films.

He previously headed up hissales and acquisitions consultancy The David Lamping Company, and prior to thatco-founded Sovereign Pictures after leaving Orion Pictures.

"We are extremely pleased tohave somebody with David's extensive knowledge and experience join us at thiskey time in our expansion plans," Nu Image/Millennium co-chairman Danny Dimbortsaid.

"The opening of a Londonoffice is a further indication of our confidence in the expansion of Nu Imagefollowing our decision to invest in bigger budget movies two years ago."

Nu Image/Millennium'scurrent slate includes Neil LaBute's remake of The Wicker Man starring Nicolas Cage and Ellen Burstyn.
