Lot 47 has acquired North American rights (excluding Quebec) to Amos Kollek's Cannes competition title Fast Food, Fast Women, from French sales outfit Celluloid Dreams.

Celluloid, which produced the romantic comedy, along with three European distributors - France's Ocean Films, Italy's Bim and Germany's Pandora - said the title has been sold to almost every international territory apart from the UK, Australia, the CIS and a few Asian territories which are still under negotiation.

Among distributors that have taken the title are Triangle for Scandinavia, Alta for Spain, Cinema Parisien for Japan, Pacific for Korea, Cinemien for Benelux, Imovision for Brazil, IFA for Argentina and Gemini for Mexico. Filmtonic has acquired rights for Quebec.

Celluloid has also sold Anne Villaceque's Petite Cherie to Australia's Champion Pictures and Brazil's Mostra de Sao Paulo, while Hassan Yektapanah's Golden Camera-winner Djomeh went to France's CCI, Brazil's Mostra and Mexico's Gemini.

Fledgling New York-based distributor Lot 47, headed by Jeff Lipsky, recently acquired North American rights to another Cannes competition title, Chunhyang, directed by Korea's Im Kwon Taek, from Canal Plus-owned sales division The Wild Bunch. Lot 47 also picked up Australian title Russian Doll and New Zealand's The Price of Milk.
