New UK independent production company Loves Me Not Films has secured the option on its debut feature project Wasted.

The British drama, written by Livy Austin, tells the story of the harsh reality behind the lives and loves of ordinary women living in the hard, professional city of London and explores a darker side of the capital city.

Love Me Not Films co-founder and producer Christina Pickworth said: 'We are thrilled to be starting our slate with this relentlessly raw, intense and incredibly timely film. We feel its honest deconstruction of modern city life will translate across metropolis all around the world, and it is so exciting to have found a project, which although firmly rooted in contemporary British culture retains universal international appeal.'

Media lawyer and feature producer Carlo Dusi, whose film finance and production outfit Aria Films has just completed production on Gareth Robert's debut feature Kill Kill Faster Faster, will act as executive producer on Wasted.

Love Me Not Films was founded by Christina Pickworth and Becky Baxter.
