Robin Wright Penn, Julianne Moore and Winona Ryder will star in Rebecca Miller's adaptation of her own novel The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee.

Elevation Filmworks and Plan B Entertainment are producing the comedy-drama, which London-based Lumina will introduce to international buyers at AFM this week. CAA represents North American rights.

Filming is set to begin in Connecticut in April 2008 on Miller's story about a dutiful wife and mother who is prompted to explore her past and her buried sensuality after she discovers her husband has had an affair.

'To have this incredible cast come together is an amazing credit to the story and vision Rebecca has presented us with,' producer Lemore Syvan of Elevation Filmworks said.

'I'm thrilled to be working with Plan B on the film. We feel we have an amazing film in the making and look forward to what will be an exciting production.'

'This project is enormously original as well as being Rebecca's most accessible to date. We are overjoyed to be part of it,' Lumina's Samantha Horley said.

Miller previously wrote and directed Angela (1995), Personal Velocity (2002) and The Ballad Of Jack And Rose (2005). Syvan was involved in a producer capacity on all three films.

Syvan and Roeg Sutherland of CAA negotiated the deal with Horley and Cyril Megret of Lumina Films.

The project was brought in to Lumina by the company's North American consultant Susan Wrubel.

Miller, Penn and Moore are represented by CAA and Ryder is represented by the William Morris Agency.
