Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to Craig Zobel's
Great World Of Sound at the South By Southwest Film Festival.

Patrick Healy and Kene Holliday star as two ordinary men who get
caught up in a record industry talent search and learn the finer - and
not so fine - points of being record producers. Magnolia plans an
early autumn release.

'Magnolia is one of the most progressive, exciting companies out
there,' Zobel said. 'They were at the top of the wish list in my hopes
of getting distriabution. I feel extremely lucky that they are so
passionate about the film.'

'I love Great World Of Sound,' Mark Cuban, co-chief of Magnolia parent
company 2929 Entertainment, said. 'Anyone who has ever dreams of
stardom, whether through performing or selling, should see this
movie.'

Magnolia's head of acquisitions Tom Quinn and head of business affairs
Jason Janego closed the deal with WMI's Cassian Elwes on behalf of the
film-maker. Zobel's legal counsel is Phyllis Kaufman of Fisch
Richardson.
