The sixth Marrakech Film Festival will kick off on Dec1 in the Moroccan town with a screening of Martin Scorsese's The Departed. The festival will close with Mon Meilleur Ami by Patrice Leconte. Roman Polanski will head upthe jury alongside Sandrine Bonnaire, Jamel Debbouze, Maria De Medeiros, PanNalin, Yousry Nasrallah, Ludivine Sagnier, David Wenham and Paz Vega.

Fifteen films will compete in the main program (seelist below) while 19 films will screen out of competition. Special focus willbe placed on Italian cinema. Tributes will be paid to American actress SusanSarandon, Moroccan actor Mohamed Majd, Egyptian director Tewfik Salah, Indianactress Kajol Mukherjee-Devgan and her husband Indian actor Ajay Devgan andChinese director Jia Zhang-Ke.
