Leonard is leaving GK Films where she most recently served as svp marketing and publicity and will kick off by handling Lisa Wilson’s Parlay Films in all areas.

The executive said the emphasis of the consultancy will be on corporate publicity for entertainment companies and international marketing and publicity for theatrical features.

“With the upswing in the international marketplace as evidenced at the European Film Market in Berlin this year, the time is right for me to branch out with my own company after an incredible time working with Graham and the team at GK Films,” Leonard said.

Leonard joined GK Films in 2006 as the company was launching the Oscar winner The Departed and Blood Diamond. She oversaw marketing and publicity campaigns for The Young Victoria, Edge Of Darkness and The Tourist as well as the upcoming The Rum Diary and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo Cabret.

Prior to GK Films, Leonard handled all marketing and publicity operations for Myriad Pictures and before that spent seven years as svp at LA-based international publicity company Denmead Marketing.

Denmead clients included Initial Entertainment Group (now GK Films) and Myriad Pictures as well as Lionsgate Films International, Mandate Pictures (formerly Senator International), Mark Damon’s MDP Worldwide, Rysher Entertainment, CLT-UFA and Helkon Media.
