France 's Memento Films has acquired Olivier Assayas' Cannes competition entry Boarding Gate starring Asia Argento and Michael Madsen. The company will handle international sales on the thriller which is being released in France by ARP Selection on Aug 22.

Memento is also handling world sales on Jia Zhang Ke's Still Life, which will screen in the market. The Chinese film stars Han Sanming and Zhao Tao in a story about lost love.

Set for delivery this summer is Eat, For This Is My Body by Michelange Quay. Starring Sylvie Testud and Catherine Samie, the film is set in Haiti and follows a woman whose desires begin to awaken against the Third World backdrop.

Comedy Last Investigation by Romauld Beugnon and starring Jean-Claude Brialy, Jean-Pierre Cassell and Philippe Nahon is nearing completion and promises suspense, love and rock'n'roll.

German/French/Colombian co-production Undertow is from director Javier Fuentes Leon. Produced by Memento Films Production, La Cinefacture, Dynamo Films and Cameo Films, Undertow is a story about tradition and hidden passions in Peru.

Rounding out Memento's slate of new films is French/Swedish co-production Grown Ups from director Anna Novion. Starring Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Judith Henry, the film is a comedy about forced co-habitation and will be ready in summer 2008.
