UK distributor Metrodome has bought Lars Von Trier's Manderlayfrom Trust Film Sales.

The Cannes competition title has now sold to over 35countries. The US is the last major territory yet to announce a deal for Manderlay,Von Trier's follow-up to Dogville.

Manderlay is the first Lars Von Trier directedfilm that Metrodome has handled; Dogville was released by Icon FilmDistribution in the UK.

However, Metrodome has strong links with Scandinavianfilm-makers. Later this year, it will distribute Dear Wendy, which iswritten by Von Trier and directed by Thomas Vinterberg, and Mikael Hafstrom'sAcademy Award nominated Evil. Metrodome has also released Lukas Moodysson's Lilya 4 Ever and Together.

Metrodome General Manager-Theatrical Sara Frain said: "Weare very proud to be distributing Manderlay in the UK. Trust recently closed a number of other deals on Manderlayincluding Austria (Polyfilm), Columbia (Cineplex), Finland (Kamrasfilm),Germany (Legendfilm), Norway (Fidalgofilm) and Peru (Gatenofilm).
