Mission: Impossible III will receive its US premiere on May 3 at the 2006 TribecaFilm Festival, following the world premiere in Rome on Apr 24.

Tom Cruise will attend a high profile day of events in Manhattanknown as Mission: NYC.

Cruise will kick off with a live appearance on MTV's TRL studiosin Times Square, from where he will travel to premieres at Tribeca, Harlem andthe Ziegfeld Theatre.

"Having the support of Tom Cruise and Paramount is a gift tous and the community," festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal said, addingthat director JJ Abrams and other cast members will be in attendance.

"We're thrilled to be bringing M:i:III to the Tribeca Film Festival as a partof 'Mission: NYC,'" the picture's producer Paula Wagner added. "Tomhas always enjoyed finding new ways to connect with the fans and we're bothexcited to be sharing the movie with them on this incredible stage."

The action picture also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames,Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell, Maggie Qand Laurence Fishburne.

M:i:III will open in North America throughParamount on May 5.
