Hot on the heels of Gaspar Noe's Irreversible, Monica Bellucci is set to star in Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino's (The Last Kiss) upcoming movie, Remember Me (Ricordati Di Me).

Local production outfit Fandango confirmed that Bellucci will star alongside popular Italian actors Fabrizio Bentivoglio (Hotel, Holy Tongue) and Laura Morante, who played Nanni Moretti's wife in The Son's Room.

Muccino's younger brother, Silvio (Come Te Nessuno Mai), will also have a role in the picture, which centres around a family with two teenage children and their frustrations and dreams. Cameras are set to roll in Italy in mid-July on the film, which was scripted by Muccino and Heidrun Schleef (The Son's Room).

Local powerhouse Medusa plans to release the film next Valentine's Day, in a bid to maximise its chances of repeating the success of The Last Kiss, which became the top grossing Italian film of 2001, earning a massive Euros 13.1m by the end of an almost year-long run.
