Rodney Wilson's Todd Gilmer Productions has secured the liferights to Motocross and Supercross legend David Bailey.

Bailey started riding at 10 and went on to win every major pro Motocrossand Supercross event in the early 1980s before he was paralysed in a freakaccident and became a triathlon champion.

'Bailey's real life is one the most remarkable andinspirational stories of a great legend who overcomes incredible loss, setagainst the backdrop of one of the World's most popular spectator sport,' saidWilson, who will produce with partner Steve Robertson.

'The strength that exudes from this Motocross Superstar islike no other, and this is why we are bringing his life to the screen.'

Wilson recently teamed up with producing partner Clark Westermanand director Nick Egan to develop a biopic of original INXS front man Michael Hutchence.

Todd Gilmer Productions produced with Westerman the 1950s-set Vic Armstrongspy thriller Shooting Stars, which features archive footage of Humphrey Bogart, James Deanand Marilyn Monroe, among others.
