UK-based international sales company Moviehouse Entertainment has taken on sales for Liz Mermin's latest documentary, Shot In Bombay.

Little Bird produced the feature documentary, which goes behind the scenes of Bollywood film Shootout At Lokhandwala and follows the controversial trial of Indian screen legend Sanjay Dutt. The film includes the last interview with Dutt before his prison sentencing in 2007 for illegal arms possession.

Moviehouse will introduce the project to buyers at Berlin's European Film Market. The film is also backed by BBC Storyville and The Sundance Channel.

The film is already scheduled for a UK theatrical run at London 's ICA starting Friday (Jan 18) through Feb 10. Moviehouse has signed up UK distributor Revelation Films to handle the DVD release and further theatrical exposure.

Producer Nahrein Mirza of Little Bird said: 'We're very happy to bring Shot In Bombay to the UK and beyond to a variety of international audiences.'

Moviehouse co-managing director Gary Phillips said: 'we're delighted to be given the opportunity to handle Shot In Bombay. In addition to being a great film, it's the best example we've seen of art imitating life imitating art.'

Mermin previously directed Office Tigers and The Beauty Academy of Kabul.
